Guided by Daniel Rivest, lecturer and technician in UQÀM's Biological Sciences Department, and by Sara Mercier-Blais, Master's student in aquatic ecology at UQÀM, this excursion to the "Station de biologie des Laurentides" in St-Hippolyte will allow you to discover how to sample, analyse and understand a lake, as if you were an aquatic ecologist!

On May 11 and 12, 2012 we participated in the 7th annual "24 heures de science" event for which the theme this year was water.

On Friday, May 11, we welcomed around 50 elementary school students to our "Foire sur l'eau des lacs à l'UQÀM". They visited our labs and participated in activities and experiments organised by members of the Chair. Then, on Saturday, May 12, we set up a kiosk near a pond in Angrignon Park in Montreal, "À la découverte des secrets de l'étang", to show water sampling techniques to the general public.
