My research interests focus on the role of inland waters in the continental C cycle. Particularly, I am interested in understanding the regional drivers of C fluxes in aquatic networks from the emerging perspective of landscape limnology. I am also interested in deriving a mechanistic understanding of organic matter degradation along the land to ocean continuum and the relative influence of intrinsic versus extrinsic factors.
